possible costume style

Just a few ideas of costumes based on the 60s fashions. Clothes were not very revealing when it came to the chest department, but they often clung to the body and were very short to show off well shaped legs. This was the era of the miniskirt, and dresses were also incredibility tiny. Therefore I still think that this type of fashion can still appeal, especially if somehow we modernised the costumes to have a 21st century edge!!

These were our first ideas but then we felt that we definately wanted to do a dance video so we decided to go against the Love Song by Pink. the In Your Eyes by D&D song isnt well known at all but it is very old pop and we werent sure if it would have a wide enough audience.

we decided to go with another idea of doin very well known classics that wouldnt have a video and then we could revamp it and make it more modern.

We decided that a music video might be better as it will be a fun feel good video so we brain stormed possibilities of music video stereotypes.

If doing a music video: a scene using roller-skates where it would be choreographed to be perfectly in-sync (would look incredible).

The costumes at one point or another would have to incorporate fur, such as a fur collar. (it would be so cool)
Simple background to dance in front of. We also had an idea of two or more types of dancing with two or more groups dancing and nearer the end they would suddenly meet and do one scene together (similar to ‘lose my breath’ by destiny’s child). This can be affective and also appeal to more than one type of dance audience.
We though jazz dance and then break dancers, and even some extreme forms of dancing.

Each member finds the words for their chosen song and to deconstruct the lyrics. Think about possibilities of scenes when in relation to the lyrics.

Narrowed songs down to 3 possibilities

Aqua- Halloween
Pink- love song

Thought about possible ideas for each and noted what came to mind when we listened to each song:

But we preferred the song:
Pink- love song, because we could do something simple for it. Such as a girl sitting at a train station or walking through a shopping centre.

The downside is that it will be hard to make the video interesting...

We discussed:

• costumes and locations for each song for example for the D&D song we would have a shot of the dancers in the gym with school girls with short skirts and their shirts untucked as this is a very common look for videos of this genre
• looks of the actresses for example oin the Pink song we would need to have a pretty girl who would be able to carry off the punk, tomboy look
• lyrics and possible narratives
• weighed out the pros and cons for doing a video for our 3 potential songs:
